MEDFORD A Pine Valley Drive resident pleaded guilty to distributing child sexual assault material and will be sentenced to 10 years in New Jersey state prison, the prosecutor s office said Monday. Stephen Gifford, 36, was arrested last year as part of the Burlington County Prosecutor s Office s Operation Safe Quarantine, an initiative that works to minimize child exploitation. Gifford had reportedly shared over 1,000 graphic images and videos of children, the prosecutor s office said. The BCPO High-Tech Crimes unit seized several electronic devices from Gifford s home as part of a search warrant. Gifford pleaded guilty on May 5. As part of his plea deal, Gifford will serve at least five years before becoming eligible for parole.
