On 6/1/21 at 11:29 AM EDT
An influencer was kicked out of a Colorado restaurant after the owner accused her of being a professional competitive eater trying to scam them.
On Sunday, Raina Huang, a YouTuber based in Los Angeles who makes competitive eating videos under the name Raina is Crazy, went to StevO s Pizza and Ribs to take on the OMG 28 pizza challenge. The challenge sees two guests try to eat the entire pizza in one hour with no breaks to win a $100 prize.
Other challenges hosted by the restaurant include the WTF Wing Challenge, which challenges competitors to consume chicken wings made with ghost pepper and habanero in under ten minutes, and then wait another ten minutes before taking a drink.

YouTube Star Raina Huang Gobbles Twin Falls Grub
I did some research on Raina Huang. She’s a YouTube sensation with one heck of an appetite. It’s called competitive eating. I had seen she was trying some of our favorite haunts in the Magic Valley and then over the weekend saw a post from the Depot Grill Facebook page. She wolfed down the “Train Wreck” in just over 10 minutes.
One website I read after seeing the post suggests she could be making as much as $300,000 a year off her eating videos.

Huang doesn’t appear to be carrying a spare tire. I watched one of her videos where she and a friend tackled a pizza that weighed several pounds. She doesn’t take small bites or nibbles. She rolls the slice and down the hatch.

Family Sues After Father Dies In Taco-Eating Contest At Baseball Game
Dana Hutchings choked to death in the amateur contest.
The son of a California man who choked to death during an amateur taco eating contest at a minor league baseball game is suing the event’s organizers for negligence.
Eighteen-year-old Marshall Hutchings’ lawsuit filed Monday alleges his father, Dana Hutchings, was not made aware of the risks and danger involved in an eating competition, the Fresno Bee reported.
The 41-year-old died after choking on tacos while competing in the contest during a Fresno Grizzlies game on Aug. 13, 2019. Participants competed to devour as many tacos as possible during a certain amount of time.
