Latisha Williams, the current principal of Charles E. Patterson Middle School, was named as the newest principal of Robert M. Shoemaker High School, Killeen ISD Superintendent John Craft announced Monday. âThroughout her 22-year career in Killeen ISD, Ms. Williams has built a strong rapport with her students, staff, and community,â KISD spokeswoman Taina Maya said in a press release. âAlways full of energy, the former Killeen High Girls Basketball coach believes in building a strong team from the ground up and always placing students at the forefront of every decision.â Maya said Williams began her âinstructional leadership journeyâ in 2016 at Patterson Middle School. ....

Palo Alto Middle School coach Elise Kea is the Secondary Teacher of the Year. Lisa Stewart of Skipcha Elementary School is the Elementary Teacher of the Year. The school district combined virtual technology with surprise-at-the-front door tactics to reveal the pair Tuesday evening. Both expressed shock when they heard their names announced during the virtual ceremony, then found guests outside their houses bearing gifts.
