Feb 3, 2021 WILLIAMSTOWN Williamstown City Council met Tuesday to appoint a new council member and discuss the drafting of ordinances pertaining to traffic concerns and medical marijuana. After an executive session, council, with the absence of City Attorney C. Blaine Myers, announced their appointment of Pat Peters to fill the role of former council member Jim Parker. “We had eight really qualified people … we were impressed by all of them and felt any one of them could do the job,” council member Marty Seufer said. Peters is the long-time former principal of Williamstown High School and previously served on council. “He’s gonna be a quick fit,” Seufer said.
