At the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area in Davis, what are those flowers blooming along the road, in the rice fields or out in the canals? Are they native plants or introduced? There are many different plant habitats in the YBWA and they support a wide range of flowering plants.
Yolo Basin Foundation’s Flyway Nights speaker series will explore “Plants of the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area” with Charlie Russell at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 4. In this virtual presentation, Russell will identify many of the common plants that visitors are likely to come across while on foot or in a car. He’ll help participants identify the good, the bad, the ugly and even the poisonous ones.
