KERN COUNTY, Calif. â This holiday season, more than ever, Christmas for Seniors of Kern County needs the support of donations from the local community.
The nonprofit organization traditionally allows its clients, home-bound seniors, to come attend a special event and choose a gift that costs $20 to $25. The gifts coming from community members who adopt them for the holiday season.
However, this year, due to the pandemic, the group is doing things differently. Instead of having the seniors come out and choose their gift, they are collecting items and creating baskets to deliver to them, and you can help.
