AN INITIATIVE TO COLLECT PERSONAL CARE ITEMS FOR LOCAL WOMEN AND TEENS IN NEED.. .. HER DRIVE IS A NATIONAL NON-PROFIT THAT PARTNERED WITH TWO PG-HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO APPLIED LAST SPRING BRING A HER DRIVE TO TOWN. THE DRIVE RUNS UNTIL AUGUST 9TH. THEY ARE COECLLTING NEW AND GENTLY USED BRAS, BRALETTES, AND SPORTS BRAS,.AND NEW MENSTRUAL CARE PRODUCTS AND PERSONAL HYGIENE ITEMS EVERYTHING WILL BE DONATED TO FIVE ORGANIZATIONS ON THE MONTEREY PENINSU
Liberty High School had a higher graduation rate than Golden Valley Unified District s overall graduation rate at 96.4 percent, according to the California Department of Education. In comparison, Golden Valley Unified District had a graduation rate of 92.9 percent for the 2017-2018 school year. According to CDE data, graduation rates continue to indicate an increase in disproportional academic performance between white, Black, Latino, and English learner students. According to the National Centre for Education Statistics, in the 2017-2018 school year, of the 50 states where data was collected, students with disabilities were at the bottom of 4-year high school graduation rates by student group.
