Times have been tough for businesses this past year, especially restaurants, and one business, who is struggling themselves, wants to make sure the community getting the support they need.
“We really sympathize and we feel what the restaurant industry is going through,” said Gaylord and Petoskey Fit Body Boot Camp co-owner Jason Mathias.
Like many other businesses during this pandemic, Fit Body Boot Camp in both Gaylord and Petoskey also had to temporarily close their doors.
“When we first had initial closure orders back in March, we had to figure out how can we continue to serve our members too,” said Mathias.
Use time off to experience the outdoors

If 2020 gave us anything, it was extra time. Many used this time to reconnect with the outdoors.
As we round out the year, and many people are burning through vacation days, consider taking a trip to explore an unknown outdoor destination. Here are five of my favorite places to visit:
Brown County State Park, Nashville
Nicknamed the “Little Smokies” because of the region’s resemblance to the Smoky Mountain National Park, Brown County offers visitors a chance to spread out amongst the hills, hollers and ridgetops many wouldn’t expect to find in southern Indiana. Encompassing nearly 16,000 acres, you can find true solitude in the park’s wilderness. Taking a winter hike along one of the many trails is a great way to experience wildlife and natural scenes without the crowds of summer.

Igloos have been popping up like mushrooms, shanty towns are being constructed, greenhouses are serving new purposes, and even a yurt or two have arrived in Michigan. These are just a few of the examples of how Michigan restauranteurs have been getting creative with outdoor dining spaces.
Restaurants have been shut down for indoor dining for the second time in 2020, this time since December 7. Restrictions will remain on indoor dining until January 15, per the current order from the Michigan Health Department.
