The announcement reads: Sarray headlines new class of international WWE Performance Center recruits A new group of international recruits have reported for training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla. The class brings a wide variety of experience both in the ring and in other athletic endeavors. Sari Fujimura, who debuted on NXT television as Sarray, is a 24-year-old with nearly a decade of experience in the ring already. Competing under the name Sareee, she made her mark in the Japanese joshi circuit for promotions like Meiko Satomura’s Sendai Girls, JWP Joshi Puroresu and World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana.

WWE confirmed the new international arrivals today, noting that they have reported for training at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. This class is headlined by Sarray, who made her WWE NXT debut this week with a win over Zoey Stark. Others in the class are Sanjana George from India, Jennifer Michell Cantu Iglesias from Mexico who we reported on earlier this year, Matt Farrelly of Australia, and “The Python Powerhouse” Stephanie De Landre of Australia. Also joining the company with this class is veteran Japanese wrestler Hideki Suzuki, who is joining the WWE Performance Center coaching staff, as reported earlier this year.

Twitter, @hidekisuzuki55 Independent wrestler Hideki Suzuki has left Japan on a one-way journey, with speculation suggesting he could be on his way to WWE. This stems from a Tokyo Sports article published on Monday. It states that Suzuki arrived at Tokyo s Haneda Airport yesterday afternoon, giving vague answers to questions about where he was heading before boarding a plane with a one-way ticket. Suzuki s exact destination hasn t been revealed, though the article states that WWE is his likeliest destination, as he did some guest coaching for the promotion two years ago and was highly evaluated doing his time there. The 40-year-old could conceivably slot in as a player-coach or a more specialised role, given his experience.

El Lindaman Tests Positive For COVID-19

Big Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that El Lindaman has tested positive for COVID-19, and as a result his Strong Hearts tag partner T-Hawk was removed from their January 19 show. Lindaman, who made appearances for AEW during the early days of the company, had been wrestling for ZERO1, Big Japan Wrestling, DDT and other Japanese promotions during the pandemic. The post reads: “ We’ll be back in Shinkiba on January 19th! T-hawk was scheduled to wrestle Aoki but because he was a close contact to El lindaman who tested positive for COVID-19 has to sit out. Kuma Arashi will take his place. Aoki who has been defeated once looks for revenge!”
