Penn State’s Office of Information Security has
updated the university’s password management policies to let account holders create and use passwords that never expire. The office said doing so should help users create login information that’s “more secure and easier to remember” than ever before.
“The new Lifetime Password requirements will make you and Penn State more secure,” the office said in an email to students Wednesday.
If you changed or reset your password on or after January 25, 2021, you’re already in possession of a “lifetime password” and won’t need to change a thing.

Penn State police investigate racially motivated Zoom-bombings

Penn State University Police are investigating two racially motivated “Zoom-bombings” that targeted two separate diversity events held Monday.
The unwanted hijacking of a Zoom video conference call at the two different events held at University Park and Penn State Brandywine are the latest of similar incidents under investigation by the University Police and Public Safety’s Criminal Investigations Unit and Penn State’s Office of Information Security.
In both instances, the Zoom-bomber was dressed as a police officer while displaying what appears to be a firearm, Penn State officials said in a press release.
Penn State leadership has been made aware of two "Zoom-bombing" incidents that appear to be racially motivated and targeted two separate diversity events yesterday (Feb. 15), one at Penn State Brandywine and the other being held at University Park.
