Norwich window posters help fight digital inequality

Published: 1:11 PM May 6, 2021    Kazz Morohashi, founder of the Museum of Human Kindness, with her Fine City Neighbour poster on display - Credit: Ralph Paprzycki City neighbours are being encouraged to find new ways to support one another as part of a campaign dedicated to fighting digital inequality.  The month-long campaign throughout May is run by the Fine City Neighbours project which asks Norwich residents who have digital skills and resources to display a poster in their window.  These posters will let neighbours know that someone is there to help if they need it in order to celebrate the spirit of neighbourliness that supported so many during the national lockdowns.

The website is offering support to people across Norwich during the coronavirus lockdown. - Credit: GoodGym Help on how people can connect safely during the new national lockdown will be on offer through a new community-led website. The Fine City Neighbours project will celebrate the strength of neighbourliness and community connections across Norwich by providing links to services. Dr Ben Little, a UEA lecturer in media and cultural politics and associate dean for engagement and innovation in the university s faculty of arts and humanities, who helped start the project, said: “Community-based support has been indispensable in our response to the pandemic.
