The Lady Tigers welcome McLean County Thursday at 5:30 with air time at 5:15 and Christian County in an 8th District matchup Saturday at noon, with pregame at 11:45 am. (KPLC) - The third-seeded Barbe Lady Bucs only needed one inning worth of runs to down No. 5 Airline in the Class 5A championship game, 3-1. The title is Barbe’s fifth in program history. Airline got the scoring started in the third with back-to-back hits including Paris Endris’ RBI single that gave the Vikings a 1-0 advantage. It was one of only six hits allowed by Barbe pitcher Halie Pappion. The junior allowed only one extra-base hit while striking out eight in seven innings. ....
Chattanooga State s Lenoir Named Region Volleyball Coach of the Year Lady Tigers Are Region VII Runners-Up; Dutton, Pittman Named To All-Region Squad Thursday, April 29, 2021 Chattanooga State’s women’s volleyball team ended their 2020-2021 season as Region VII runner-up while also receiving both player and coaching honors. Players named to the all-region team included #21 Hannah Dutton, libero and #22 Sydney Pittman, middle blocker. Both women are completing their freshman year at Chattanooga State. In addition, first-year coach Kristy Lenoir was named 2021 Coach of the Year by the TCCAA Athletic Association, NJCCA Region VII. After a slow start at 1-5 the Lady Tigers fought back with a vengeance finishing the second half of the season at 5-3. ....
Written by Chance Bond on April 29, 2021 The Worland Lady Warriors lost to the number 2 ranked Girl’s Soccer team in Wyoming 3A Lander Valley Lady Tigers. 3-2 on Tuesday. With two penalty kick goals from Carley Yule. They weren’t enough to get the win. Worland had 26 shots on goal compared to the Lady Tiger’s 16. WCIT opens Saturday at 3 sites - LEBANON â Addie Grace Porter s walk-off homer to open the bottom of the seventh inning lifted Lebanon High to a 7-6 come from behind home win over District 9-AAA softball rival Beech Tuesday evening. The win moved the Lady Devils to 8-13 on the season headed into four games Friday and Saturday in the Wilson County Invitational Tournament. Beech scored five runs in the top of the third, only to see LHS battle back with two in the bottom of the fourth and four more runs in the fifth to seize a 6-5 advantage. The Lady Bucs knotted the score at 6-all in the top of the sixth when a one-out single by MacKenzie Likeness drove in Brianna Faulk who opened the inning with a leadoff walk. ....
