A New Bedford man has been arrested in connection with this morning’s fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old at Clasky Common park. The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office announced that Latrell Baskin, 21, of New Bedford has been charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He is being held without bail pending the results of an August 6 dangerousness hearing in New Bedford District Court. The D.A.’s Office also identified the victim as Rayshard Normil-Jerome, 18, of New Bedford.
