Eight Charged in Connection with Illegal Grow House Near Erick

By News Director Jared Atha Court records show that eight men have been charged in Beckham County District court after the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, with help from the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office issued a search warrant at an apparent illegal marijuana grow operation in far western Beckham County in May. Documents show all eight men received one felony charge each of cultivation of a controlled substance, while two others received additional charges of acquiring proceeds from drug activity and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, due to authorities finding over $76,000 and weapons during the May 4 raid.

Beckham Co Sheriff Searching For Possibly Dangerous Suspect

By News Director Jared Atha After failing to appear for his latest court date, an outstanding warrant for arrest has been issued for an Elk City man. According to the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect should be considered possibly armed and dangerous. 51-year-old Edward James Guidry Jr. is wanted for a felony charge of feloniously pointing a firearm after the suspect was accused of the crime last October. Guidry is facing other pending felony charges as well. The Sheriff’s Office says Guidry was last seen wearing blue jeans, a green shirt and a ball cap. He may be driving one of four vehicles: a white 2019 Dodge Charger with Texas plates, a white F-250 with a white bumper guard with Texas plates, a white, 2016 Ford F-350 with tan lower panels, a black bumper guard and damage to the right rear, or a white or cream colored Chrysler 300, which was stolen from the Sayre area recently. There were reportedly weapons in the vehicle at the time it was stolen.

Sayre Man Charged With First Degree Murder – Child Abuse

A Sayre man is suspected of killing a one-year-old child. 30-year-old Taylor Dale Lambert was arrested Friday on a felony warrant for suspicion of first-degree murder – child abuse, according to an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation news release. The Sayre Police Department asked OSBI on Nov. 14, 2020, to investigate the suspicious death of a one-year-old boy, who died on that day. OSBI stated that the autopsy results showed the baby’s death was the result of a homicide, and that Lambert was the boyfriend of the child’s mother at the time of his death. Sayre officers and Department of Wildlife Game Wardens arrested Lambert. He was booked into the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office.
