The Atlanta singer-songwriterâs EP Swan arrives on August 20. June 30, 2021 Becca Harvey is probably one of the few people on the planet who started a pandemic project and saw it through. In the Atlanta-based musician s case, it s her jangle-pop alias Girlpuppy, which found itself thriving after a COVID layoff. With more time to flesh out her songs, Harvey enlisted her friend Marshall Vore, an ongoing collaborator of Phoebe Bridgers , on production duties. Those sessions resulted in Swan, Girlpuppy s upcoming debut EP out August 20. ADVERTISEMENT Today, you can hear As Much As I Can, and its music video is premiering today on The FADER. Director Savanna Hughes films a singing Harvey in different locations including, perhaps most memorably, in a field while she wears a nightgown and wields a katana. She said: “I’m quite an extreme person and feel extremely exhilarated in the cold. There’s something about it being mind over matter. “I think it’s a lazy person’s way to the good chemicals. You get an intense rush, dopamine, endorphins. It’s important to find space for yourself. “A lot of my friends think I’m crackers but it’s been a key factor in keeping me balanced. It has changed my life and helped me survive the last nine months. No doubt.” Whitley Bay-based Ms Lieberman, who is swimming as many days as she can as part of the ‘Chatter Challenge’, is now also considering taking part in the Great North Swim. ....
