A vaccination centre (PPV) has been set up at Dewan Seri Dayang, Weston to ease the transportation cost of rural residents.
Lumadan Assemblyman Ruslan Muharam said some 450 recipients from Kg Lubok, Kg Lingkungan, Kg Imuman, Kg Meraba and Kg Bukau were expected to get their vaccines on Saturday.
“This is to speed up the inoculation process for the people here, without them having to travel to Beaufort town just to get the vaccine,” he said when launching the immunisation programme at the PPV, here, Saturday.
He said it was a way to provide convenience to the people who would otherwise be burdened with the transportation cost, adding that it would enable residents to save time and money.
“The people would be able to save money as the travel fare from Weston to Beaufort town is very burdensome for them,” Ruslan explained.
He said the immunisation programme would be organised every Saturday and Sunday
