After 39 years of providing quality chiropractic care, Dr. David Holtwick, D.C. recently retired and announced Dr. Tanner Green, D.C. as his successor. 
With plans in place to transition care before his retirement, the fire in downtown Boonville caused his practice to relocate to a temporary office at 1424 West Ashley Road in Boonville.  Dr. Green started seeing patients Monday, May 10, following Dr. Holtwick’s retirement. 
Dr. Holtwick would like to thank his patients from Boonville and the surrounding area for their support during his time of practice.  He practiced for 27 years at 321 Main Street in Boonville. He opened his practice in Boonville in July of 1994 as he was seeing more and more patients from the Boonville area at his Fayette location.  Dr. Holtwick felt that he acquired many of Dr. Giles McCoy’s patients as he had retired a few years earlier.  In an article f ....

On March 4, 1921, Congress approved the burial of an unidentified World War I veteran in the plaza of the new Memorial Amphitheater at Arlington National Cemetery. That burial took place on Nov. 11, 1921. It was another five years before Congress authorized the completion of the Tomb which is inscribed on the west panel:
HERE RESTS IN HONORED GLORY AN AMERICAN SOLDIER KNOWN BUT TO GOD
President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed a bill on Aug. 3, 1956, to pay tribute to the Unknowns of World War II and the Korean War. Those burials took place on May 30, 1958.
A similar interment ceremony was presided over by President Ronald Reagan on May 28, 1984, for an Unknown Serviceman of the Vietnam Era. ....

6:50 p.m.: Boonville Public Works closed for COVID-19 outbreak
The Boonville Public Works building closed Wednesday due to a COVID-19 outbreak among staff members. The building will re-open on Monday, Dec. 28 at 8 a.m. 
According to the
Boonville Daily News, water payments can still be placed in the drop box at 1200 Locust Street or taken to City Hall. 
If there is a water leak, sewer back up or other issues, contact City Hall at (660) 882-2332. In an emergency or during non-business hours, call the Boonville Police at (660) 882-2727.
