ELIZABETHTON, TN - The Elizabethton River Riders defeated the River Turtles, 3-0, on Thursday night at Motor Field In Pulaski. Starting pitcher Drew Gillespie finished with six strikeouts and four hits, with no walks or runs allowed.
The River Riders scored two runs in the top of the third inning off an RBI double by second baseman John Montes (UCF) to score designated hitter Sam Thompson (TCU) with no outs. Montes stole third and scored on the throwing error by Pulaski third baseman Mark Trotta (William & Mary) to make it 2-0 River Riders.
The Elizabethton River Riders defeated the Whistlepigs,12-2, Thursday night in Princeton at Hunnicutt Field. The River Riders (9-9) put up a team-high 17 hits in the victory.

The River Riders defeated the Ridge Runners on Sunday, 7-2, at Northeast Community Credit Union in seven innings. Centerfielder Mario Zabala (Florida International) capped off a five-run sixth inning with a three-run homer.
The River Riders (4-5) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first on a ground ball to center field by left fielder DJ Sullivan (Florence-Darlington Tech) to score second baseman Marcus Brown (OSU) and Zabala.
