Golf is no longer the No. 1 priority in Bryan Bigley’s life. After more than a dozen years of chasing his dream of making it on the PGA Tour, the Schalmont High School and Siena College graduate doesn’t have to worry about making the cut in order to earn enough money to keep his career afloat.
Now living just outside of San Francisco, Bigley is married, enjoys his role as a stay-at-home dad for his two stepsons, and hits the little white ball around just for fun these days.

Although match play is a format that allows many competitors to be more aggressive on certain shots and puts the emphasis more on one’s opponent than on the course, Dan Russo doesn’t change his focus much at all.
Russo, the 63-year-old member of Schuyler Meadows, is the area’s all-time leader in major tournament victories among amateurs. Russo certainly knows how to win in golf, and he will play his normal game next weekend when the annual Tri-County Golf Association Match Play Championship is contested Friday through Sunday at Colonie Golf & Country Club.

The NSW & ACT Laser Masters was held over the weekend of 13-14th February at Jervis Bay Sailing Club on Callala Bay. Jervis Bay is a great sailing water. Callala Bay is at the northern end, so with a 15 knot southerly and a 12 km fetch there were some great waves to be caught and rides to be enjoyed.
The conditions were fabulous for Laser sailing - 14 gusting to 18 knots from the south on both days. The COVID gods were also on our side as the rules were changed overnight on Friday allowing the seven sailors entered from Victoria to sail and one from WA.
