German energy company RWE to build first onshore wind farm in France

BERLIN, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) German energy company RWE will build its first onshore wind farm in France, the company announced on Thursday. The onshore wind farm, located in the Centre-Val de Loire region, 250 kilometers south of Paris, is already under construction and would have a capacity of 26 megawatts, according to RWE. The construction of the onshore wind farm would highlight our ambition to further expand our position as one of the world s leading renewable energy companies, said Katja Wuenschel, chief operating officer for onshore wind and solar in Europe and Asia-Pacific at RWE Renewables GmbH, in a statement on Thursday.
