NEW LENOX, IL The New Lenox Fire Protection District has finished paying a $450,000 loan from the Village of New Lenox, which was given in 2018 in the wake of a failed referendum and budget cuts.
Fire Protection District Board President Skip Minger presented a $250,000 check to the Village Board at Monday s meeting. Two years ago, we paid you $100,000, and last year we paid you $100,000, Minger said. And tonight, I want to give you a check for a quarter of a million, and we re done.
