Doctors at the University of Kansas Health System are treating 38 patients for COVID-19.
Of those, 25 have active infections, nine of whom are in the intensive care unit and four on ventilators.
Thirteen patients are recovering from the virus in the hospital.
The doctors were joined by leaders of organizations who help veterans with mental health to talk about how the pandemic has affected veterans.

According to a voicemail recording, the restaurant closed Sunday.
âCOVIDâs taken a toll on us and we realize thereâs more to life than just working,â the voicemail said.
The recording thanks everyone who has supported the business over the years, but said it is time for them to move on and âenjoy our lives a little bit.â

The restaurant features the same ownership as Speaks Clam Bar and is in the former space of Louies Modern and Lemon Tree Kitchen.
A prime spot in downtown Sarasota has reopened its doors as a new Asian eatery, featuring the same ownership as a popular Sarasota-Manatee restaurant.
Kojo is now open at 1289 N. Palm Ave. on the ground level of the Palm Avenue Parking Garage in the former space of Louies Modern and Lemon Tree Kitchen, which closed last year. As previously reported, Kojo shares the same owners as Speaks Clam Bar, a New York-style Italian clam bar with St. Armands and Lakewood Ranch locations.
