It’s not surprising that his handler named him Reis, a tribute to a beloved Sheriff’s Correction Officer, Andrew Reister, who was killed in 2008 while working an off-duty job. This morning, the family of Andrew Reister gathered at the Sheriff’s Office to participate in a formal naming ceremony and watch Reis demonstrate some of his talents.
