President Biden on Tuesday afternoon called on Governor Cuomo to resign while holding a press conference in the East Room, where he delivered remarks  on his Administration’s progress toward fighting the COVID-19 pandemic by increasing vaccinations at home and around the world. April 22, 2021 4 min read On Wednesday, April 21, members of Stony Brook University’s (SBU) Advocacy Corps met virtually with representatives of the offices of Leader Chuck Schumer and Rep. Lee Zeldin to advocate for bold funding increases for the National Science Foundation (NSF) and increased federal funding for crucial student financial aid programs. Specifically, Advocacy Corps members conveyed their strong support for the NSF funding increases included in The Endless Frontier Act (EFA) in addition to doubling federal funding for the Pell Grant program.
