Planning applications validated week commencing June 28 In Watford this week, we have two retrospective applications - the first for an extension and entrance canopy at a property in Hagden Lane and the second for new condenser units at a shop in the high street. The town hall has applied to instal photovoltaic panels and there is an application in to raise the height of the telephone mast outside Century Park, Dalton Way from 15m to 17.45m, plus the addition of several cabinets. Finally, there s a plan for new industrial units to replace those already on land to the south of Colonial Way, plus offices and a parking area.

A new outbuilding is proposed in Trout Rise, Loudwater, to contain a swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms, and at Champneys in Wigginton there s an application to change three staff lodges into dwellings. In Ridgeway, Berkhamsted, there s a proposed demolition of an outbuilding, and extensions to form a new home and division of the plot. Also there are six new homes planned on the development site at Lock View in Wilstone, and changing a commercial site on land at the back of Trowley Hill Road, Flamstead to redevelop into two homes.
