Coronavirus cases surge in Mansehra after Eid

MANSEHRA: The number of coronavirus cases have surged in the Mansehra district after the Eid ul Azha as the district administration sealed the Bandi Syedain area of Garhi Habibullah following dozens of locals who contracted the virus were shifted to the health facilities.
“We have imposed a smart lockdown and started disinfecting the entire area as dozens of cases have been reported from this locality,” Assistant Commissioner Hasrat Khan, told reporters in Balakot on Monday.
Deputy Commissioner Qasim Ali Khan ordered the enforcement of the smart lockdown and disinfecting of the entire area after Covid-19 cases were reported from the Bandi Syedain and its adjoining areas.

PESHAWAR: Residents of the provincial capital have complained that they’re struggling to receive the second dose of coronavirus vaccine due to the failure of the National Database and Registration Authority to share their information with vaccination centres.
Mohammad Shakil of Gulbahar area told
Dawn that he, along with many other residents, visited the Nishtar Hall mass vaccination centre to get the second jab but the staff members turned them away saying the Nadra hasn’t notified them about their inoculation schedule.

MANSEHRA: The district administration has sealed the New Balakot City and deployed the police and health officials after three people died of coronavirus on Saturday.
“We have sealed New Balakot City after three people died of Covid-19 within a few days,” Assistant Commissioner Sardar Jawad Marwat told reporters.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Qasim Ali Khan had ordered sealing of the locality after the death of the three persons and around dozen were found affected with the virus.
According to a notification issued by the district administration, Taj Muhammad died of the Covid-19 at Ayub Medical Complex Hospital, Abbottabad, Muhammad Rafique at King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, Mansehra, and Muhammad Bashir at the AMC.
