Girl Scout gala raises funds to support leadership opportunities for girls
Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore raised more than $155,000 to provide leadership programs for girls in need at its annual Women of Distinction and Community Partners Gala on May 26 at the Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club in Howell.
More than 200 supporters attended the charitable event, celebrating nine community leaders and generating funds to ensure area girls have the opportunity to learn and grow in Girl Scout programs, regardless of ability to pay, according to a press release.

TRENTON New Jerseyans could soon get their COVID-19 vaccines at their dentists or eye doctors, under bills endorsed by an Assembly committee.
Two weeks ago, state Health Commissioner Judy Persichilli authorized dentists, paramedics and other health care providers to help administer COVID-19 shots at any vaccine site in the state. The proposed state law may take that a step further to also include flu and HPV vaccines.
