5:30pm - Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and COVID-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins are pushing back on National s call for a full managed isolation and quarantine (MIQ) review after three returnees caught the virus during their stay at a facility.
Over the weekend the Government confirmed that a Northland woman had tested positive after completing 14 days at Auckland s Pullman Hotel MIQ facility. On Wednesday, two family members who stayed at the same facility also tested positive.
The first is DaHua Supermarket in Northcote which they visited on 26 January between 12.57pm and 1.45pm.
The second location is the ASB Wairau Valley on 21 January between 2.06pm and 2.09pm.
In both instances the Ministry of Health s advice is if people suspect they were there around those times they should stay home, call Healthline and get tested.
The ministry has also added another visit by the two cases to a location that was already on the list. Two more visits to BBQ King restaurant in Albany have been identified - on 15 and 16 January and each time it was between 5pm and 6pm.
