According to Downing Street, the meeting will focus on climate change, security, the global trading system and defending democracy, as well as efforts to coordinate how transatlantic travel can resume safely.

In one of the key moments during his first address to a joint session of Congress, president Joe Biden announced his plans for a push to “end cancer”.
It included a call for the National Institute of Health [NIH] to create a new agency dedicated to advanced research projects for health.
Fans of
The
West Wing were quick to draw comparisons to a speech made by Martin Sheen’s character in the series, president Jed Bartlet.
In one episode of the series that ran from 1999 to 2006, Bartlet said: “I will bring the full resources of the federal government and the full reach of my office to this fundamental goal: we will cure cancer by the end of this decade.”

Joe Biden has been sworn in as the 46th US president, ending one of the most dramatic political transitions in American history. Democracy has prevailed, he said after taking the oath of office from Chief Justice John Roberts.
Donald Trump - who has not formally conceded the presidency to Mr Biden - snubbed the inauguration ceremony, in a departure from longstanding precedent.
The new president has announced a raft of measures reversing Trump policies.
Kamala Harris was sworn in as vice-president ahead of Mr. Biden. She is the first woman - and the first black and Asian-American person - to serve in a role, a heartbeat from the presidency.
