The 15-year-old Corgi escaped from Tony and Pamela Boulos home on Cheyney Drive in Westtown on Christmas Day, making his exit out the front door as family entered for Christmas festivities. The family pet, nearly blind with a severe hearing loss, was exposed to sub-freezing temperatures with wind chills in the teens for nearly 22 hours.
After about an hour, Tony and Pamela noticed Fox missing and went outside to search. They put a lost dog message on social media and the Next Door app, creating a search party of nearly two dozen people.

WESTTOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Emergency crews in Chester County rescued a missing senior corgi from inside a storm drain Saturday morning.
In a Facebook post, Fame Fire Company said they were dispatched to Jacqueline Drive in Westtown Township on Saturday morning to help remove a 15-year-old corgi named Fox from a storm drain. The owners said Fox has impaired vision and hearing and got loose from their home on a nearby street.
EAST MARLBOROUGHâState Rep. Christina Sappey,D-158th, of West Bradford, announced $1.5 million in state grants from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program that will support the Fame Fire Company of West Chester and Longwood Gardens.
âLongwood Gardens is a Chester County institution, and I am honored to support them in securing this funding for facility upgrades,â Sappey said. âPublic gardens, such as Longwood, provide tremendous peace and joy to the public while serving as an economic driver for our region. These grant funds will help Longwood remain a leader in horticulture education, research and displays. Fame Fire Company has continued to innovate and grow along with the West Chester community. They serve on the Chester County Rescue Task Force as the lead company for swift water, trench, and structural collapse technical rescues. These facility upgrades will allow them to further increase efficiency and lower response times.â
