PM to address Association of Indian Universities 95th annual meet tomorrow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Association of Indian Universities 95th annual meet and National Seminar of Vice-Chancellors tomorrow at 11 am through video conferencing. The Prime Minister will also release four books Dr Ambedkar Jivan Darshan, Dr Ambedkar Vyakti Darshan, Dr Ambedkar Rashtra Darshan, and Dr Ambedkar Aayam Darshan based on Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar s life, written by Kishor Makwana. Modi spearheads BJP s campaign, addresses 23 rallies so far

Spearheading his party s campaign in the ongoing polls to elect five assemblies, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has addressed 23 rallies so far, 10 of them across four states over the last three days, including Saturday. With the BJP pulling out all the stops to oust Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee from government in West Bengal and to retain power in Assam, these two states have been the focus of Modi s campaign. He has addressed rallies in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and the union territory of Puducherry too. The prime minister also travelled to Bangladesh recently for two days and attended a number of programmes, an exercise that was criticised by Banerjee alleging they were held with an eye on the polls in West Bengal, a charge rejected by the BJP.

Tamil Nadu Polls: PM Modi slams DMK-Cong over Jallikattu ban

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday slammed Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and Congress for posing as protectors of Tamil culture and pointed out that the UPA-led Central government had banned Jallikattu, a practice which has been part of state s culture for centuries. The Prime Minister added that the NDA government cleared an ordinance brought by AIADMK which allowed Jallikattu to continue. DMK and Congress have no real agenda to talk about but they should control their lies because people are not foolish. They keep showing themselves as the only protectors of Tamil Culture, but the facts suggest something else, PM Modi said.
