Judson University s Chapel Ministry will feature a series titled Race and Justice to highlight the importance of diversity and Black History Month within the Judson community.
The series will commence virtually at 10 a.m. on Friday, Monday, and Wednesday, Feb. 19, 22, and 24.
Featured speakers will include Rondell Trevino, Pastor Peter Hong, and author Edward Gilbreath.
The series begins with the Friday, Feb. 19, chapel featuring Rondell Trevino of the Immigration Coalition.
Rondell became an expert on immigration issues when he sought to have his wife, Laura, immigrate from El Salvador after she had studied for a year in Memphis. After working as a pastoral resident at Fellowship Memphis Church, Rondell began working for the Evangelical Immigration Table and National Immigration Forum, where he trained churches, businesses, and law enforcement on immigration from

Peter Hong has been named the new director of the Iowa State University Startup Factory program. According to a news release from the ISU Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship, Hong will begin his new duties on Feb. 1. He succeeds Bill Adamdowski, the Startup Factory’s inaugural president who resigned in February 2020, and Kris Johansen, who served as interim director. According to the release, Hong will lead the Startup Factory and facilitate other ISU-based venture programming initiatives. He also will work with BioConnect Iowa to manage, develop and run the new Iowa Go-To-Market (G2M) Accelerator, which is part of a $1.29 million federally funded program. G2M is set to launch in early 2021, and will offer support and training for companies developing technology driven products and services.
