Two Suspects were arrested after reports of a robbery Friday in Stevenson Ranch, and one of the suspects lied about who they were.
On Friday, deputies responded to a business on the 25400 block of the Old Road in Stevenson Ranch after receiving reports of a robbery, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Once at the scene, deputies learned that a man and woman, identified as Joseph Hawkins and Kanika Miler, had entered the location and began taking items from off the display case and attempted to walk out of the store.
Hawkins used his shopping cart to push past loss prevention personnel while Miller was detained in the store, according to Arriaga.

Shortly before midnight on April 5, 1970, a pair of career criminals shot and killed officers Walt Frago, Roger Gore, James Pence and George Alleyn in a gunbattle following a traffic stop.

Bobby Davis and Jack Twinning, the pair of career criminals, first came into contact in federal prison and reunited in Houston Texas after they were released. The pair decided to move out to the Los Angeles area, but struggled to find employment as a result of their criminal records.

Alleged Catalytic Converter Theft Suspect Arrested After Illegally Parking In Stevenson Ranch
A catalytic converter theft suspect was arrested Thursday evening after deputies noticed that he had allegedly parked illegally in Stevenson Ranch.
Around 11:15 p.m. Thursday, deputies patrolling the 24800 block of Pico Canyon Road in Stevenson Ranch reportedly observed a vehicle illegally parked, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“Deputies contacted the occupants of the vehicle and learned the male driver was on active probation and had an outstanding warrant to his name,” Arriaga said.
Deputies detained the driver and his passenger pending further investigation, according to officials.
