Grace Briscoe and Brooke Hess, Girls Scouts in Troop 5163, place hand-painted rocks in their kindness garden surrounding the flagpole in front of Oakwood Elementary School on Thursday. The Girl Scouts have been together since first grade, and they brainstormed the project to leave a positive impact in their final year at Oakwood Elementary School and give visitors the chance to leave a rock with a message of kindness as well.
