Journal Standard
ORANGEVILLE The Mighty Richland Players Dessert Theater recently announced its 2021 20th Anniversary season.
The plan will feature three performances, including a world premier. Playwright Phil Olsen has chosen MRPDT as one of the theaters to premiere his newest comedy, “The Birthday Club.” The play features five friends who gather together every time each of them has a birthday. The performance dates will be April 16-18 and 23-25.
“Blithe Spirit” will be performed this fall. COVID-19 shut-downs occurred the week the show was to open last year. The show centers around a skeptical novelist, Charles Condomine, who invites self-proclaimed medium, Madame Arcati, to his home for a séance. The performance dates will be Sept. 24-26 and Oct. 1-3.
