John Emilio, 44, was charged with attempting to meet a girl at a Route 130 motel or his vehicle for sex, after he communicated with the child online. The girl was an undercover detective. Emilio was arrested at his home in New York in February 2020. “This defendant’s calculated, predatory behavior presented a very real and very dangerous threat to the vulnerable population he was targeting online,” Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said. “We are thankful that there was no actual victim, but this case underscores the risks to children from online communication, and we urge parents to pay attention to the cyber activity of their kids.”
