Albina earned the right to fly the Croatian flag in Rotterdam after winning
Dora 2021. And now, she’s heading to The Netherlands, with hopes of bringing Croatia its first song contest victory as an independent state.

1. She’s from Split
Albina Grčić was born on 6 February 1999. She grew up in the resort town of Split. Located on Croatia’s sunny Adriatic coast, it’s the country’s second-largest city after Zagreb. Speaking to our William, Albina described her hometown as a beautiful city. “It’s quite a small city”, she says, “but it has a soul”. Croatia’s Eurovision 2019 singer Roko is also a native of Split. The singer from Split has displayed a burning passion for performance since she was young; her talent for singing was nurtured by her family who encouraged her to also learn the piano.

Tick-Tock that she knew this would be the song to define her as an artist and performer.
“I think everyone will be singing my song because it’s very catchy and I think that we have the whole package… the song, the dancers, the team. I’m so grateful that I get to perform Tick-Tock and that I have my excellent team behind me - they’ve really boosted me and given me so much support.”

This Saturday Croatia will select their song and singer for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. Two of the 14 participating acts know what it is like to represent their nation, as they have done it before. Will one of the make a comeback to Eurovision?
One of these two is Nina Kraljić, who sand at Eurovision 2016. In a poll on Eurosong.hr where 2500 people voted, she comes out as the main frontrunner to win the competition. The other former Eurovision participant is Tony Cetinski, who took part in 1994 in Dublin.

Nina Kraljić. The
The Voice winner represented Croatia at Eurovision 2016 with “Lighthouse”. She was an early favourite with the bookies and successfully took Croatia back to the final for the first time since 2009. However, the entry stalled during the Saturday night show, finishing 23rd. Since then she’s released her debut album
