Below is a sampling of cases that were resolved in the Circuit Court of Pettis County from June 21 through July 7.
John R. Dory: age 38, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 4 and 2 year sentences in the Missouri Department for Driving While Revoked and Resisting Arrest.
Robert Lynch: age 46, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 10 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections Under 559.115 ITC for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.
Anastatia Irene Mann: age 23, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to 4 and 10 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections after her probation was revoked.
Carla Meek: age 41, Sedalia, MO was sentenced to two 3 year sentences in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle and Resisting Arrest.
A 33-year-old Independence man is facing a felony drug charge after a traffic stop in Sedalia on Valentine’s Day.
According to a Sedalia Police report, the officer says he located approximately 2.9 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale and several other drug-related items in the vehicle.
Court documents say Brian Eugene Tripp is charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Tripp was arraigned on Wednesday, February 17. His next hearing is scheduled to be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
Sedalia Police Reports For February 16, 2021

Monday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of South Ohio for a report of a suicidal subject. The suspect was ultimately transported to Bothwell for treatment. Charges of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Firearm Unlawful for Certain Persons, and Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree are being requested through the prosecutor s office. No further information was contained in the report.
Monday afternoon, Officers spoke to subjects at the Police Headquarters in reference to a gun they wished to turn over to the Police Department. The gun was placed into evidence for safe keeping.
