2-2 Schlotterbeck (o.g. 75 )
Fresh from winning their fourth consecutive game with a 3-1 victory over Schalke on Sunday, Frankfurt began with a spring in their step and put the home side under pressure from the outset. It swiftly paid off, as Amin Younes scored a wonderful opening goal in the sixth minute, skillfully turning his marker on the edge of the box before placing the ball past Florian Müller. Freiburg had won five matches on the bounce prior to their narrow defeat to Bayern Munich at the weekend, though, and grew in confidence as the match progressed. They deservedly equalised with 32 minutes on the clock when Ermedin Demirovic superbly rolled Evan N Dicka before teeing up Roland Sallai to lash in his fifth goal of the season. Andre Silva had a powerful shot from a tight angle well saved by Müller, before Kevin Trapp made an excellent block from Christian Günter s deflected long-range strike at the other end.
