YPSILANTI, Mich., April 20, 2021 /PRNewswire/ An Eastern Michigan University Honors student, majoring in marketing, won first place in the National Forensics Association Tournament that ended last night. The University s forensics team placed fifth in the national competition, extending Eastern s tradition as one of the most successful teams in the nation.
EMU Forensics has placed in the top 15 nationally for more than 40 years, and has won more than 40 Michigan state team championships.

It has been a little over a year since COVID-19 forced a statewide shutdown for all non-life-sustaining businesses and shelter-at-home orders. Worshippers struggled to stay in touch with their religious congregations. Churches, synagogues and other houses of worship were forced to conduct services over the Internet, adopting an approach new to everyone.
