In Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs biopic Michael Fassbender, as Jobs, launches the iMac G3 in 1998 and it’s the triumph of his life. His opponents praise him. The press fawn. He gets projections that he’ll ship one million units in the first 90 days, making it the fastest selling computer in history. “Steven – it’s over,” Kate Winslet, playing his marketing chief Joanna Hoffman, tells him. “You’re going to win.”
