JDX Consulting Appoints Tina Shah as Chief Financial & Operating Officer
Tina Shah will join the firm as
Chief Financial and Operating Officer, effective 5
th May.
Tina joins having spent the last 4 years as
CFO at Darwin Technologies, a leading SaaS and consultancy provider of global benefits and employee engagement software, now part of Mercer Consulting. Her prior roles include CFO Continental Europe for Marsh McClennan and CFO of fund services & logistics within UBS Global Asset Management. Tina s formative financial experience was gained as an audit manager within the financial services practice of KPMG. She earned an FCA qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a bachelor s degree in accounting & finance from Bristol Business School. Tina is also currently involved in mentoring programmes, supporting the success of young women in their professional development.

Doris Smith s eyes moistened as she looked at the shiny vintage cars parked in the William Penn Bank off Old Route 13 in Bristol Borough on Tuesday evening. A couple hundred people surrounded her, and a news helicopter flew overhead, but despite all that, Smith was back in her Pennsbury High School days in the 1960s, when the Bristol Stomp was all the rage. This is so neat. I remember some of the old cars. I got tears, remembering, she said.
Bristol celebrated its newest mural Tuesday evening, dedicating it to the thumping dance that started in its Goodwill Co. Firehouse a dance the would put the small town on the musical map when the Doo Wop group, The Dovells, named their hit song, The Bristol Stomp.

Two Leonardo apprentices have been impressing their colleagues with their computer skills while working from home in lockdown.
Dan Marsh and Oliver Kelliher-Swash were recently welcomed to the company after applying for Leonard’s cyber apprenticeship programme online and then conducting virtual interviews over video. Their only physical interaction with the company saw the youngsters collecting their laptops and equipment from Leonardo’s UK Cyber and Security Team in Bristol Business Park. But according to their mentor, senior systems engineer Damindra Gunatillake, the two have not been held back by the lockdown situation and have performed so well that they’ve been assigned live cyber projects.
