British troops in Mali have been left without military air support on their UN peacekeeping mission, as the Ministry of Defence has been accused of taking “unnecessary risks” with soldiers lives.
Last month British troops, primarily drawn from the Light Dragoons and Royal Anglian Regiment, began deploying on the mission in the Sahel.
