Rare hatchling inspires book to raise funds for sea turtles

Premium Content Subscriber only The story of a hatchling who came into the care of Sea Life Sunshine Coast has been turned into a beautiful children s book by staff members who helped care for the turtle until its release almost a year later. In honour of World Turtle Day on Sunday, Sea Life has announced the release of the children s book named Iluka the Hybrid Hatchling after the turtle. The book will raise funds for the care of sea turtles in the wild. Sea Life veterinary nurse Brittany Attwood said she was proud the book would be sold to raise funds for sea turtles.
