Kellogg also looking to invest in energy consumption at the plant US cereal and snacks giant Kellogg is investing at one of the two factories the company has in Europe producing Pringles. Kellogg is spending EUR30m (US$32.7m) on work at its plant in the Belgian city of Mechelen, which manufactures Pringles that go on sale in Europe, north Africa and the Middle East. Part of the work will see a new fryer installed at the facility, which Peter Vanpuyvelde, the plant s operation manager, said would increase throughput . The first phase of the investment starts at the end of the year, with a second phase beginning in 2023. ....
Kellogg ramps up Pringles production in Belgium Kellogg is ploughing €30m ($39.7m) into revamping its Pringles plant in Belgium to keep up with EMEA demand, as well as to make production more sustainable. Pringles has seven manufacturing facilities around the world. The Mechelen facility is one of the two Pringles plants in Europe that ships its potato chips to more than 40 countries across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa (EMEA). The capital will be used to upgrade production lines as well as purchase new equipment. The snack producer said a new frying would increase throughput, while a new utility system will be introduced to make the plant more sustainable. By using the air that comes out of the fryer, the system will generate steam via natural gas consumption. ....
