Castro Marim supports building a nursing home for Alzheimer s patients
The Castro Marim county approved one million Euros of financing to the local Santa Casa da Misericórdia to support the construction of a nursing home for people with dementia diseases, such as Alzheimer
The same source stated that the new Residential Structure for the Elderly and Day Care for people with Alzheimer s and other dementias is classified as “priority” by the municipality, being designed to accommodate 70 patients in a residential regime and support 20 in day care.
The Mayor of Castro Marim, Francisco Amaral (PSD), mentioned in the statement after the construction of the new nursing home for people with Alzheimer s and other dementias, the municipality will have “a model unit for the entire south of the country”, due to “its size and scope”.
