Don’t be alarmed. Santa Claus is coming to town. The Seymour Chamber of Commerce had to cancel its Home for the Holidays event scheduled for Nov. 28 and there’s no Santa House this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the organization wanted to ensure kids still had an opportunity to see Jolly Ol’ St. Nick. From 6 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday next week, Santa’s Holiday Tour will arrive in a different city council district each night. He will be on a Seymour Fire Department truck that’s decorated with special holiday lighting and escorted by a Seymour Police Department vehicle. Listen for the sirens and Christmas music to know he’s getting closer to your home.
