“I think Melbourne is a beautiful city. I’ve traveled to other cities around the world, not too extensively but somewhat, but I love Melbourne. Sydney has the harbour, you can’t deny it, but Melbourne’s beautiful.
“Post-lockdown we’re out traveling again, enjoying things that we might have taken for granted. I think it just feels like a really good time to be re-exploring. Or if people may not have done enough exploring, because maybe they hibernate during the winter, any time is a good time to get out and have a look around your backyard or further afield. It’s a beautiful state. A beautiful country.”
COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In high school bowling, Quincy dropped both varsity matches to Homer Tuesday afternoon at Midway Lanes.
Senior Peran Reif led the Quincy girls with a 142 game. Quincy also scored a point in singles from Madison Wineland.
In varsity boys action Quincy struggled out of the gate but captured six in Baker play. Homer was lights out in singles game one outscoring the Orioles 887-681. Quincy fired back in game 2 taking 4 of 5 and overall but dropped the final 2 overall points by just 43 pins. Senior Dylan Bean led Quincy on the night with a 219 game at anchor.
The Quincy JV boys cruised to another win on the season. Despite a tough baker series Quincy edged Homer for all 10 points. Quincy went on to take 5 of 10 singles points and all 10 overall points for a 25-5 victory. Leading the Oriole effort was Brady Harper with a 166 and Cameron Barry with a 155.
BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Both of the Coldwater High School Bowling teams opened their season with wins over Jackson Lumen Christi on Tuesday afternoon at Jax 60 in Jackson. Coldwater the boys meet 28-2. Austin Johnson led the way with a 211 game and 388 two game series total.
The boys swept the regular games 826 to 709 and 927 to 755, taking total 1753-1464, also taking both baker games 197 to 187 and 158 to 124
The young Coldwater girls varsity team started strong as they posted a 29-1 victory. The girls were led by Annabelle Kling with a 168 game. The team took both regular games 719 to 524 and 702 to 515 and totals of 1421 to 1039. Coldwater outscored Lumen in the Baker games 139 to 103 and 149 to 135 for a total of 288 to 238.
