The 9-mile march, during which students from seventh and eighth grades will chant and carry signs seeking equality for everyone, is part of a plan to raise money to help fund a two-day educational field trip based on the civil rights movement. The walk starts at 8:30 a.m. and will last around three hours. Students will make two stops so they can have water during the walk. If there is inclement weather, the march would be rescheduled to a later date.
