MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WBRC) - The Alabama State Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) and members of the Professional Firefighters Association of Alabama (PFFA) announced a bill that would support first responders who suffer from PTSD.
Representative Matt Simpson said the bill was introduced Thursday in Montgomery.
The event and the announcement will take place on the steps of the Alabama State House.
Simpson said the bill will help the men and women who work as first responders who face mental health challenges, and help provide these men and women mental health services.
